Panel layout is usually done by the PCB manufacturer. For early insight during development process as well as to optimize the shapes, the designer can use Panelization to anticipate this process. The boards are imported into an empty panel project (.brd) as modules and then placed manually or via coordinates. All net names and properties of the individual circuit boards are retained. The panel can be output like a single PCB. A parts list for the entire panel is also available. Extended Gerber, NC-drill, ODB++ and of course IPC-2581 are available as output formats.
FloWare module Panelization is available by default with OrCAD / Allegro PCB Editor.
